I had something totally different planned for today’s post but unfortunately couldn’t get it together in time. Stay tuned, friends. It’s a-comin’.

Today I thought I’d give you a little “about me” of sorts in the form of “Three Things.” This will all make sense in a minute. I hope you enjoy.

Three Movies I Watched in Theaters and Loved

Little Women– sweet, wholesome, girly as all get-out. Ladies, don’t drag your boyfriends there. It wouldn’t end well. Go with the girls

Knives Out– Hilarious, quirky, surprisingly thought-provoking. Very reminiscent of the Clue movie (and board game, for that matter).

Just Mercy– Fantastic, life-changing, tear-jerking and would make anyone want to become an activist RIGHT NOW. The book is incredible too. I recommend reading it before you see the movie.

Three Books I Read Recently

City of Girls– A novel about a rebellious teenager who gets sent away from her ritzy east coast family to live with her bohemian aunt in 1940s Manhattan. It’s a somewhat coming of age novel, but mainly about misconceptions being shattered. I quite enjoyed it.

Songs of America– This is a brief look at American history through song. Tim McGraw co-writes it and chimes in with his thoughts on each of the historical eras and the music that went along with them.

The Gifted School– If you’ve ever taught at or been exposed to an elite school, this book is for you. It’s a novel, but the characters (mainly the parents, bless their hearts) could have been any of the dozens I’d seen throughout my teaching years. This book is a gem.

Three Recipes I Can’t Live Without

Breakfast Casserole– I modified the heck out of this one, which I’ll share in another post, but the gist is the same. I make this for the homeless shelter that some friends and I volunteer at every month.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever– these have become my signature cookies because I could live off of them, so I make them a LOT. My only modification to this recipe is that I always use dark chocolate chips and just use two whole eggs rather than separating one.

Buffalo Chicken Chili– I looooove this recipe and always have a few mason jars of it in my freezer. I skip the cream cheese and add an extra can of beans in lieu of the corn. It’s delish and perfect for a cold winter day.

Three Goals

Every week I give myself three weekly goals that I write on my white board so I see it daily. Here they are for this week.

40 Cold Calls– I’m at 20

One Cricut Project– I got a Cricut for Christmas and it’s a little intimidating! I want to just make one thing this week.

Cut and freeze pineapples– Done. I order Hungry Harvest and get random fruits and vegetables sent to my house every week, sooooo I had two pineapples that were just sitting on my counter. I’m happy to report that they’re now chopped and frozen.

Three Restaurants I’m Loving Right Now

Zoe’s Kitchen– How did we ever survive without chicken kabobs, I ask you? No idea.

Cava– give me Crazy Feta or give me death… If you know, you know.

Chuy’s– Nacho Car Happy Hour. Enough said.

Three Articles I Shared This Week

The End of the Audiobook Snobbery

I Was An Abortionist

A Liberal Arts Degree Pays Off… But It Takes a Decade

Three TV Shows

Cheer on Netflix- Want to watch but haven’t yet

The Bachelor– I’m on week two because I can’t seem to find the time/desire to watch it in real time… I’ll probably catch up this weekend, though, let’s be real.

You– Ugh, I’m all caught up and whaaaat? Seriously, what kind of demented person comes up with this plotline?

Told you this was random! Hope you enjoyed. Have a fabulous weekend, friends!
