Hello and thank you for stopping by! My name is Brittany and I have one foot in DC and another in Cleveland, OH. I grew up outside Cleveland in a sweet little town called Strongsville. I moved to the DC area after undergrad in 2008 with the intention of staying for two years.. and I’m still here! While DC certainly has its merits, I am and will always be an Ohio girl.
I’m the eldest of two girls and very close with my family. My dad’s inspiration and advice when it comes to finances were the driving force behind this blog!
My sister made me an auntie to this cute dude in 2019 and I must say that “auntie” that is my favorite role yet!
I’m with a wonderful man named Jim and we bring out the best in each other. He makes me very happy.
I’m the proud dog mom to Cannoli and Frickle. I got Cannoli in 2009 and he’s a doxie/yorkie mix. Frickle– “Fried Pickle” (who Jim named) I got in 2018 and he’s a rescue mutt. We think he’s partially Italian Greyhound, but we’re not totally sure.
I started this blog because I realized how important personal finances are and I sincerely believe that being financially responsible doesn’t have to mean living like a pauper. I hope what I have to say is helpful for you because I know that you and your finances are worth taking seriously. You’re capable of more than you ever thought!
