It’s no secret that I love to cook and bake but the workaholic in me sometimes finds it hard to find the time. When I’m on an Arbonne 30 cycle, things get a little easier, but ultimately, I need fast, easy, and healthy things to make that will last me a few days. I’m not one of those people who can’t eat things multiple days in a row. Give me a vat of chili and I’m fed for at least five days . Yum.

Anyway, last Christmas I got my mom and sister Skinnytaste’s One and Done cookbook and I already had a copy for myself. What happened in the months afterword, I certainly didn’t expect. We were texting each other with new finds ALL the time! It was so fun because, while we all know that Skinnytaste puts out great recipes, there are occasional misses. Seemingly daily, we were exchanging ideas and “Did you try the recipe on page ____?” texts.

So, I crowdsourced by Instagram following to ask what your go-to cookbooks are and I got a ton of great answers. To personalize your cookbook present a little more, use sticky notes to add notes to each recipe like, “Tried this and loved it,” “This would be great for next summer at the beach house,” or “I’ll bring this to our next potluck.” Rather than being a cookbook that just sits on a shelf, make it personal. Share your go-to’s as you try new ones. TRUST me, you won’t be sorry.

I’m also including some of my other favorites beside the SkinnyTaste!

The OG. I cannot say enough positive things about SkinnyTaste’s One and Done. I haven’t *quite* cooked everything from it but I’ve loved everything I’ve tried. My personal favorite is the Navy Bean Spinach and Bacon Soup. Omg. Love.

… Because we all know that Joanna Gaines is a goddess. I seriously think the world of her so if she told me that some gross mixture was tasty, I’d totally believe her. That being said, the recipes in Magnolia Table I’ve tried from this, especially the biscuits and the green enchiladas are DELICIOUS.. or am I just easily impressionable when it comes to Jo ;)?

Midwest Made is an all baking cookbook and I’m totally cool with it. If you grew up in the Midwest like I did, you’ll recognize many of these tasty treats. This cookbook is also fantastic in that the pictures are gorgeous and the book itself is totally heirloom quality. I love it.

Ree Drummond is another lady I admire the heck out of. The breakfast recipes in The Pioneer Woman Cooks are amazing and have inspired a lot of my original recipes. Yummmm all around.
