In honor of Mother’s Day on Sunday, I thought I’d do a fun post about my mom. Even though we live several states apart (the quantity of states changes depending on what month it is… stay tuned), we have always talked every day, even when I lived abroad. Here I’ll share some fun facts about her. So, without further adieu, let’s begin…
She and my dad have a major case of wanderlust
…And I kind of take credit for it. Since being empty-nesters, they’ve seen a ton of great places together, but their favorite is probably Napa Valley.
She and my dad spend the winters in Florida and the warmer months in Ohio.
Because who can blame her? When she’s in Ohio, I get home a lot. Heck, when she’s in Florida I get “other home” a lot too. Both have their perks. Florida in the winter is amazing and everything a snowbird should hope for. Summers in Ohio are mild and gorgeous, and nothing beats a breezy (read- no bugs) summer evening on Lake Erie.
Her main friend group met from all being “Brownie Moms” together when I was in first grade.
The Brownies don’t really keep in touch, but our moms sure do. They go on several “girls’ trips” a year and always have a blast. Here we are back in the day…
And here are our mamas now…
She’s a fantastic interior designer.
Seriously. If you’re in Southwest Florida or Northern Ohio, hit her up. This is what she did to the Florida house and I still can’t get over how amazing it looks!
She has four grand-dogs who love her very much.
My pups are Cannoli and Frickle and my sister and BIL have two dogs, ChiChi and Clifford. I’ll let you guess who’s boss…
