Like any good basic white girl, I do enjoy any reference to pop culture.
Y’all. I survived. It was rough, but I made it with plenty of fat stored up for the rest of winter and jello arms from shoveling.
So, here’s what happened on Wednesday night:
It was a hot mess dot com. DC folks canNOT handle even a little sprinkle of snow. I lucked out. Even though I was on the Virginia side when the snow hit, I managed to make it back to MoCo within 30 minutes. Some of my friends were not so lucky.. Some were sitting on the Beltway for 6+ hours. Poor things.
But, silver lining, we had a 2 hour delay on Thursday!! Said delay totally made me count my snow day chickens, and I (correctly) banked on a snow day on Friday.. And that was all I thought we’d get.
So, then this happened:
I hate to admit this, but a little part of me died when I saw that the mall was closing early. What’s a girl to do in all of this crazy weather? Just SIT here? Well, sit is what I did. I watched the entire series of Making a Murderer:

Now it is Wednesday and we’re still off. My genius friends suggested that I park my car in a local parking garage, so I, for one, have been mobile since Monday… However, some poor babes still aren’t dug out. This storm was crazy.. Perhaps back to the grind tomorrow! Perhaps…
