About Me

I still like to think of myself as a “young” adult, but that’s starting to become debatable..  And I’m OK with that.  I’m a Midwestern girl living in DC, where I planned on staying for two years.. That was back in 2008, and I’m still here, having fun, working the coolest day job on the planet, and pursuing my second Masters degree.  Even though I’ve been here for a while, I’ll always be a Cleveland girl through and through.  I still get very sad at the mention of “World Series,” (and get a huge smile on my face when I hear “NBA Finals”), know that Lent is not Lent if the smell of frying fish and perogies isn’t wafting through the air, and know that all carbonated beverages are called nothing other than “pop.”  I am also the proud owner of a dog named Cannoli, and, speaking of Italian things, spend a copious amount of time with Europeans.  I am a Catholic who does not feel gipped on fun; a Conservative who does not feel like the world is going to hell in a hand basket, and a Millennial who thinks selfies are obnoxious.   Thanks for stopping by!
